Bumbo International Trust is incorporated under South African Law. Its sole beneficiary is a nonprofit organization. All proceeds generated by the trust is paid to Maranatha Bana.
Bumbo Cares Center
Maranatha Bana is a non-profit organisation registered as a Section 21 Company under South African Law. Its primary function is to care for the well-being of under privileged children of its community.
Maranatha Bana Learning Centre
The Centre’s classroom programs and well-trained, dedicated staff provide a unique learning environment for children with special needs. Maranatha Bana Learning Centre offers a safe nurturing environment that encourages the social, physical, and cognitive stimulation and growth of children at their own pace.
Jonibach Sports Centre
The Jonibach Sports Centre, named after the founder Johan Buitendach, offers children access to state-of-the-art sporting facilities – an indoor swimming pool with professional swimming instructors, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, trampoline and gymnastics centre – as well as a stage, a wide range of musical instruments and a full sound system for events and concerts.
There is a comprehensive youth upliftment programme, with approximately 50 trained in-house facilitators providing hands-on motivation, real-world leadership and sports activities for local youth. There are also plans for skills training, music and drama lessons, a coffee shop and consulting rooms.
Maranatha Hostel
Bumbo has built and equipped a spacious hostel, to cater for orphans, homeless children or children in difficult circumstances. There is also temporary capacity for troubled mothers with small babies. The hostel, erected on lovely grounds, has a swimming pool, a skate park, an outdoor boma-style assembly area/canteen.
Gymnasium
A fully equipped gymnastics facility run and overseen by professional athletes, giving the community and opportunity to compete at national level.
Feeding Program
Maranatha Bana’s on-site kitchen provides food for approximately 700 underprivileged individuals per day, including homeless people from the area. It also caters for Soup kitchens, a nearby orphanage; several local junior and high schools; and the staff and facilitators of the Jonibach Sports Centre.
